After retiring in 2020 following 47 wonderful years as a chef and proprietor, I was ready to explore a new creative outlet. With a deep well of inspiration still bubbling inside me, I turned to something that always felt close to home—art. My mother was an artist, so perhaps it’s always been in my blood. I began painting with David Gillingwater about a year ago, and it’s been an incredibly rewarding journey. Like any new pursuit, it comes with its challenges, but the joy of creating has made it all worthwhile!
