Reet was born in Estonia but spent most of her formative years in Canada. She graduated in science from McGill University and worked in finance. Her interest in pottery began in night school in Montreal, but became more important when relocating to England . She achieved distinction in ceramics in City and Guilds, in London.

Her combines hand building and throwing to create largely unique one-off pieces. Reet established a successful ceramics studio in London before moving to Suffolk. 

Here she co- founded the Aldeburgh Studio Trail in 2013 with Lamorna Good.
