Painter
An Art Scholar at school, Anthony went on to train as a designer at the London College of Fashion before studying Oil Painting and Watercolour at Putney School of Art and Design alongside his main career.
Anthony has continued to paint and draw since leaving college, both for pleasure and accepting commissions from friends and family. The 2020/21 pandemic provided a serendipitous respite from usual business activities, enabling Anthony to spend more time on his painting. The fruits of this period formed the basis for his first showing in last year’s Aldeburgh Studio Trail. Since then he has continued to paint in earnest, taking on commissions, selling paintings internationally, submitting works for society exhibitions and establishing a growing following for his work online.
Painting primarily in oil, Anthony draws inspiration from the Suffolk landscape, with its huge skies, watercourses and surrounding coastline. He complements his landscapes with portraits of people, yachts and houses in addition to closely observed still life undertaken in his studio. He hopes you will enjoy his latest works at this year’s Aldeburgh Studio Trail.
