The Aldeburgh Studio Trail is back!
2021 marks the 8th hugely successful Trail, having originally opened in 2013, the centenary year of Benjamin Britten’s birth, and timed to coincide with Snape Malting’s Aldeburgh Festival.
Continued every year since, although last year was a covid cancellation, this year’s trail is on for two weekends this June – 19/20 – 26/27 11-5pm.
Founder members Reet Gilday and Lamorna Good, were inspired to create the trail as there were so many artists living in and around the area and has now been joined by 29 other artist/makers.
Each year various artists open their studios to the public and this year is the largest yet as 31 artists are showing with disciplines of painting, photography, printing, jewellery, pottery and mixed media on show, with all work for sale.
All studios are within walking distance, with cafes, pubs and hotels along the way and will comply with current government guidelines to make sure that all spaces are safe.
This is a rare chance to meet the artists in their studios where they will be happy to discuss their work, influences, inspirations and techniques, with many buyers returning year on year to purchase unique art.
Leaflets will be available from many outlets around Aldeburgh or you can visit the new website for more details on each artist with many superb images and a google map location..
“We hope you will enjoy this opportunity to connect with the artists inspired by Aldeburgh and it’s atmosphere and welcoming you to our studios”
