About Aldeburgh Studio Trail 2024
Welcome to the Aldeburgh Studio Trail 2024!
Every year, artists in Aldeburgh open their studios to the public, showcasing a diverse range of art including painting, photography, printing, jewelry, pottery, and mixed media. All artworks are available for purchase.
The trail was founded by Reet Gilday and Lamorna Good, who were inspired by the abundance of talented artists in the area. This year, 26 artist/makers will be showcasing their work in various venues throughout the center of Aldeburgh, from North to South.
The studios are conveniently located within walking distance, with cafes, pubs, and hotels along the way. This event offers a unique chance to meet the artists in their creative spaces, where they are eager to discuss their work, influences, inspirations, and techniques. Many visitors return year after year to acquire one-of-a-kind pieces of art.
As with the past few years, we will be hosting a Preview Show from April 25th to April 30th, 2024,
at the Courtyard Gallery – BallroomArts Aldeburgh.
This year we have a theme to which the artists are interpreting in various ways – ‘Aldeburgh-ness’, the artists will be happy to discuss how their art is interpreted with this is mind
NEW this year, we are introducing the Aldeburgh Studio Trail Fringe. Some of the trail artists will be hosting additional events outside of the trail weekends. These events may include talks, private views, and demonstrations of their artistic skills. Stay up to date by following our social media pages or visiting the NEWS section of our website for details.
Booklets containing information about the participating artists and their work will be available from numerous outlets in Aldeburgh. Alternatively, you can visit the new website for detailed profiles of each artist, along with stunning images and a Google map indicating their studio locations.
There is no entry fee for visiting the studios, and all are welcome between 11:00 am and 5:00 pm.
