Reet’s interest in ceramics was kindled in Montreal , when she took some pottery evening courses. Over time her interest escalated into taking two City and Guilds courses at Kensington and Chelsea College after a moving to England.
Reet founded Oreet Pottery which expanded into “ Fired Up” with five partners and five part time potters located at Westbourne Studios, London. As well as Open Studios , the group had many exhibitions in London including ones in the Ice House, Holland Park.
Reet is a former member of London Potters, Anglian Potters and Suffolk Open Studios.
Not long after relocating to Aldeburgh Reet co- founded the very successful Aldeburgh Studio Trail, now going into its 8th year.
Reet’s pottery combines throwing, and hand-building to create her own style often chic and simple , contrasting matt and glossy surfaces. Her work is available through her Aldeburgh Studio, Snape Maltings Gallery, as well as at regular exhibitions.
