My journey as an artist begins in the heart of the landscape. I am drawn to the light, textures, and emotions that the landscape evokes. By immersing myself in nature, I aim to depict the many fleeting moments through quick pastel sketches. These sketches form a bridge when I’m back in my studio, where I dive deeper into my practice, translating my initial raw impressions into a dialogue between pastel and oil paint. This combined approach allows me to retain the atmosphere and evocative power of being in nature, while enriching the artwork with a layered depth and complexity.
