I paint in oil: the richness of texture and the glorious colours inspire me.
I also enjoy etching and printmaking, as a contrasting discipline and means of artistic expression. I draw and paint local landscape, also portraits and still life .
Each year I have a broad theme I develop in my practice. This year I am painting local commons and lakes, having been drawing my garden during lockdown. As I explore further afield, I find different gorgeous subjects to paint, while always trying out new ideas and techniques.
I also paint more abstract landscapes, inspired by local scenery.
