Painter and printmaker Jila Peacock was born in Iran and graduated in painting from St Martin’s School of Art in 1984. Moving to Glasgow in 1990, she has been a part-time lecturer at the Glasgow School of Art and is a member of the Glasgow Print Studio. She is based in Suffolk, where she has exhibited regularly since 2016.
Her work is in the collection of the Fitzwilliam Museum, The British Museum, The National Library of Scotland,, The Bodlein Library, The Sackler gallery Harvard University and the Tehran Museum of Contemporary Art.
Her forthcoming shows open at the Glasgow print Studio in July, and The Feetham Gallery London in October 2020.
